Richard Stanton has been a full time Freelance Photographer since 1995, providing a professional, comprehensive and innovative service to the national media – working daily for newspapers, magazines and web-based media, PR and commercial clients across the country.

Working as a professional freelance photographer Richard covers the fields of portraiture, sport, news, editorial, features, case studies, pr and marketing for example, but he is not limited by style or subject matter. His work has been published widely at home and abroad.

Richard is located in the Midlands / Welsh Borders allowing prompt access to Birmingham, Chester, Gloucester, Worcester, Shrewsbury, the Midlands (Staffordshire, Cheshire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Shropshire & Worcestershire) and Mid Wales but he is not restricted by his geographical location and regularly travels nationally and across Europe for commissions.

Richard is a member of EPUK and the Bureau of Freelance Photographers. Wherever possible he works to industry standard rates and fees as endorsed by the NUJ.

Richard works in digital format using the latest Canon high-resolution cameras and portable lighting equipment, combined with an Apple Mac picture transmission system, allowing the tightest of deadlines to be met. Using a pop-up studio Richard can work on location (i.e. at your premises, offices, place of work) allowing images to be taken in a studio environment – thus minimising logistics for you.

Richard has a BSc. (Hons) from Harper Adams University College and a Post Graduate Diploma in Photojournalism from Cardiff University. He lives with his wife Rhiannon, their daughter Isabella and their two dogs Hergé and Cheese, and when he’s not behind the camera he can be found snow boarding, hiking to the top of a mountain or riding his road bike!
