Portrait photography is one of my favourite disciplines.  Combining creative techniques such as location lighting, focal length and professional Adobe Photoshop post production with my natural aptitude for rapport building with my subjects, enables me to deliver award-winning results every time.

I use the very latest portable lighting equipment, allowing me to work literally anywhere on location – i.e., I need no longer be tethered by an extension cable to a 240V socket for example!

I regularly undertake live sports coverage, working to the strictest publishing deadlines (using Apple Mac picture transmission via FTP, email or dropbox transfer).

The ability to capture that split second moment during a fast paced sporting event is key, but also having the skill to spot the definitive image from a wider edit whilst under pressure is perhaps more important, so that the picture desk immediately has the right imagery for their sports pages.

My ability has been honed over many years covering a diversity of live sporting action – from the Rugby World Cup finals to the Tour de France, and from FA Cup football to horse racing. My sport star profile portraiture is widely published in the leading national newspapers and specific sports magazines.

In recent years the approach to wedding photography has changed. Couples are moving away from traditional staged shots, and are looking for a more contemporary reportage style to capture their day.

As a photographer trained in photojournalism, with an established background in newspaper photography, I’m perfectly qualified to deliver a beautiful portfolio of pictures that capture your special day as it really happens.
