I regularly undertake live sports coverage, working to the strictest publishing deadlines (using Apple Mac picture transmission via FTP, email or dropbox transfer).
The ability to capture that split second moment during a fast paced sporting event is key, but also having the skill to spot the definitive image from a wider edit whilst under pressure is perhaps more important, so that the picture desk immediately has the right imagery for their sports pages.
My ability has been honed over many years covering a diversity of live sporting action – from the Rugby World Cup finals to the Tour de France, and from FA Cup football to horse racing. My sport star profile portraiture is widely published in the leading national newspapers and specific sports magazines.
